How do you stay focused during work from home?

Question

Since it's been a long time we're stuck at home - doing work sitting right next to our family, I believe so many things go on around you all the time. Even if you've separated yourself in a room, still you'd get something coming right on your way!

I wanted to know how do you stay focused on work? would like to apply it and see if it works for me

I love working from home, I start my day with a hot cup of coffee with some healthy fruits and put my headphones on and listen to one hour interval playlists, I have an unwritten rule for myself that I would not get up until the playlist finishes, would love to see your input also Umana

@maxine_buchert recently have setup a new room for myself actually. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm definitely gonna try those you suggested.

Up until now i've been working in the same room as my partner. often we need to rush out during overlapping meetings. haha. now it's all mine :D

I think that over the years I've become more kind to myself actually when I need to take a break. I've tried to create an environment I'm excited to be in: comfortable chair, good view (if possible), and nice tasting drinks and healthy snacks.

For me, the last 2 have helped reduce the intensity of the workday and makes it feel more like a hobby, which tricks me into doing more of it! I recommend some noise-cancelling headphones and a set-up in a separate room, such as your bedroom.

@galia1999 that's so cool. Gonna try something like this and make it a habit. I usually start my day with a coffee Pinterest haha. . . Well I sometimes listen to music in the morning. Now that you've said, I think it's a great idea to start a day with. Thanks :D cheers!

Hey Umana! I totally agree with you. When I'm working at home, anything outside of work has the potential to distract me so much easier than it normally would.

I think too often, when you're not surrounded by your colleagues, things can become mundane and super repetitive.
