With plummeting email open rates, can WhatsApp step up as the new communication king?

To me whatsapp is really personal and is exclusively for friends and family, I do not think that I would answer by whatsapp if someone is randomly contacting me through it

I agree that WhatsApp cannot fully replace email as they serve different needs. WhatsApp is for instant messaging, while email is for more formal, written communication. If WhatsApp provided email functionality with each account automatically generating an email address, similar to some Chinese apps like QQ, then WhatsApp email could potentially become as ubiquitous as Gmail. Google has also attempted to add real-time messaging features to Gmail.

I respect a genuine cold-email. I despise spam. If you do not understand how to initiate contact with another human being, I can only suggest you to find someone who can to help you.

Well, cold emailing may be shivering with low open rates, but WhatsApp stepping in as the new communication king? That's like upgrading from snail mail to hyperspace messaging!
