How do you manage burn-outs?

Hey all, recently I've been juggling two projects, my best best co-worker who was super productive in helping me left the team, (it was super sad) I was working hard, skipped weekend, I started to feel I'm about to burn-out. This is a way harder to treat myself and just do things now, How do you manage to prevent this from the very beginning? What to do to keep the balance and still feel good about your productivity?

Estimate the importance of the project for you from the very beginning. And then also consider whether your effort will be recognized let's say a year from that moment. Usually, things we are seeing important at the moment are not that after some time. Focus on what matters and enjoy the process as much as possible :)

Hey first of all very sad that you have to deal with this. Second of all you have to understand that this is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Working 2-3 hours more every day doesn’t exactly change the output much, especially if you are going to burn out. I have three tips for you: - manage your time wisely to be effective - give yourself the opportunity to rest and get back up again tomorrow - keep investing in yourself, don’t keep working on the project. Read, network, learn new things. Good luck!

@tunc_emran thank you for support! Really feel like you're right in all the points. Especially the last on hit me just differently. I'll try to switch my focus on the marathon, where I'm the only one runner. Many thanks
