Hey, Nice to see you here :) I used to think a simple survey could tell us if our product was a hit. But it's not that easy. It really depends on how big the market is, what our product does, and how we're set up. i.e. ScieNFT, we'll know we're on to PMF when we spend less time pushing the product and more time making it better for the folks who love it.

I'm creating an MVP now to identify it.

I start by analyzing as much data as I can. Launch some ads or videos since they'll give some data on the audience. Then, direct these viewers to a waitlist where you can ask them more questions, giving even more data to work with. After that, create an MVP and gather feedback, which might vary based on your product type. You can get this feedback through surveys and community discussions(twitter, discord, etc.)

@ahmedkhairy this is a very good question, and it generally depends on the type of product you have, but generally if you see a strong word-of-mouth about your product(which you can find out trough surveys), people are willing to pay for it(e.g buy premium subscriptions) and stick to your product for long times. But short term, what worked best for me, is seeing the growth you get in users or subscribers without significant investing in ads/marketing

@davol But what metrics indicate that your product "made it"?

It depends on the type of product but I believe the following two articles on PMF are widespread among founders: - https://review.firstround.com/ho... - https://www.harpalsingh.com/prod...
