I just released an interview about this, but I'm still keen to learn more.

For those who just implemented one, what was something that you would recommend others keep in mind?

Thank you for sharing! I will give it a listen. So far I have used SendInBlue for my onboarding flow and I would say it is decent but I am willing to switch to anything that is better

@jakob_sturm hey man, great to connect with you here as well! Thanks for listening to the podcast.
Congratulations on your successful launch by the way:

We're still working on this ourselves!
Things we've learnt and need to integrate are:
- guiding user to add value into your product asap -> Ryan Hoover's book goes through this in detail
- relevant personalisation - as mentioned in your interview!
- be aware of the timelines that people might take to come back to your product once setting up an account, we've seen varying timescales on this!
@madeleine_nichols Which book are you talking about? Hooked?
Thank you!
@madeleine_nichols I hadn't heard of Ryan's book, but I'm adding it to my list now. Thank you!
@jakob_sturm yes! that's the one!
It is important to consider the following steps in order to create your first onboarding email sequence; 👇
✅Define your objectives: Start by defining the objectives of your onboarding email sequence. Do you want to educate your subscribers about your product, encourage them to take action, or simply welcome them to your brand? Having a clear objective will help you create a focused and effective campaign.
✅Identify your target audience: Identify the target audience for your onboarding campaign. Determine the type of customer you are targeting and their characteristics, including their interests, pain points, and goals.
✅Plan your content: Plan out the content of your onboarding email sequence. This should include a series of emails that are designed to educate your subscribers about your product, highlight its benefits, and provide them with resources to help them get started.
✅Create a schedule: Create a schedule for your onboarding email sequence. Determine how many emails you want to send, how often you want to send them, and what specific topics you want to cover in each email.
✅Craft your emails: Craft each email carefully, ensuring that it is clear, concise, and engaging. Use visuals, personalization, and storytelling to make your emails more interesting and memorable.
✅Test and optimize: Test your onboarding email sequence to see how it performs. Use data and analytics to optimize your campaign, adjusting your content, frequency, and timing as needed to improve its effectiveness.
✅Monitor your results: Monitor the results of your onboarding email sequence, including open rates, click-through rates, and conversions. Use this data to refine your campaign further and make it even more effective over time.
