I'm always looking for great new dev tools that will enhance my product and save me time and effort. Curious, how do you find new dev tools? Where does one look to explore dev tools?

Reddit is always good. It depends on what tools you're looking for but people like to advertise things that they've created. I get a lot of new packages (and inspiration) from places like r/Emacs and r/Programming. Hacker News to a lesser extent. I also like to watch people code/work on YouTube and see how they approach coding, it's fun to see how peoples minds work.

Finding new developer tools can be an exciting journey. I usually start by keeping an eye on technology news and blogs, where the latest tools often get highlighted. Social media platforms, like Twitter and Reddit, are also great for staying in the loop. Many developers share their favorite discoveries there. Joining online developer communities and forums, such as GitHub and Stack Overflow, is another fruitful avenue for discovering new tools. Moreover, I often attend tech meetups and conferences, as they offer a hands-on opportunity to learn about cutting-edge tools and technologies. It's like exploring a treasure chest of possibilities! Ultimately, staying curious, being open to recommendations from peers, and maintaining an exploratory mindset can lead to uncovering some real gems in the world of developer tools.

Finding new developer tools is an exciting and ever-evolving process that keeps us at the forefront of technology. One of my go-to methods is exploring online tech communities, such as GitHub, Stack Overflow, or Reddit, where fellow developers often share their discoveries and experiences with various tools. I also love attending local tech meetups and conferences, as they're fantastic places to network and learn about the latest innovations. Keeping an eye on social media platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn helps too, as influential developers frequently share their insights. Finally, I'm a fan of subscribing to tech newsletters and blogs like Dev.to and Hacker News, which provide a curated stream of the latest tools, best practices, and trends in the developer world. Staying curious and engaged in the developer community ensures that I'm always in the know when it comes to discovering new and exciting tools that can streamline and enhance my work.
