Is AI stealing your meeting soul? Curious about something: - Liberating? - Intrusive? - Essential? - Scary? What's your gut reaction? 🤖

The meetings that feel threatened by AI probably should be emails anyway. What's emerging is a new meeting culture where AI handles the cognitive load (documentation, follow-ups, scheduling), elevating human gatherings to what they should be: spaces for innovation, connection, and collective intelligence.

I think it’s quite practical, especially in terms of improving efficiency. I appreciate its features like automated scheduling, agenda creation and the organization of meeting notes.

I find AI in meetings to be a valuable asset, enhancing productivity by streamlining note-taking, providing real-time data insights, and facilitating better decision-making. However, it's essential to balance AI's contributions with human interaction to maintain a collaborative and engaging atmosphere.

In the grand tapestry of technological evolution, the presence of AI in meetings serves as both a reflection of our aspirations and a mirror to our collaborative spirit. These digital entities, woven seamlessly into our discourse, offer us the gift of efficiency—transcribing our words, capturing our ideas, and even suggesting pathways we might not have considered. Yet, they also remind us of the essence of human interaction, urging us to find balance and maintain the authenticity that only human presence can provide. Embracing AI in meetings is thus a dance of harmony, where technology aids but does not overshadow, where it amplifies our potential without diluting our humanity.

Honestly, AI in meetings feels like a double-edge sword.

I am a bit scared by this. Not because AI is taking over, but because I wonder if we're losing the ability to actively listen when AI is handling so much for us.

@arabella_waters Thank you for your comment. In my opinion, and in my use case, using our AI meeting assistant (dicte.ai) allows me to be more focused in my daily meetings and engage in more discussions with participants and colleagues. I know that the AI supports me. And if necessary, I can always take my own note to get my brain going.

I'm in the essential camp. AI has made virtual meetings so much more productive for me.
