Is it about thinking outside the box, or is it more about solving problems in unique ways?

I think it's about solving problems, but there are 3 types of creativity.
For example if your problem is "how do I go from point A to point B?", you use one of the 3 types of creativity:
1. Interpolation: You take an average of the data (e.g. "An average horse")
2. Extrapolation: You extend the boundaries of the data (e.g. "A fast horse")
3. Invention: Something new, but informed by the data (e.g. "A car - Which used to be called horseless carriage")
All 3 solutions solve the problem, but they're creative in different ways.
The same applies to any problem (e.g. interpolation phone = Nokia, extrapolation phone = Blackberry, invention phone = iPhone).
I don't believe creativity means something totally unique created in a vacuum. It's all about taking existing data to solve a problem, and there are 3 different things you can do with that data.

To me, creativity involves more than just being innovative. It’s about applying those innovations to address specific problems in a meaningful way .
I define creativity as the ability to see things from a different perspective. It’s about challenging the status quo and coming up with ideas that others might overlook.
The most amazing creator I know, Leonid Feygin, who works in branding, once told us that creativity is an ability to create new links between known objects. It's a really universal definition, I think.
I see creativity as the ability to approach challenges differently. It’s about combining existing ideas in ways that haven’t been tried before.
For me, creativity is about finding unique solutions to everyday problems. It’s thinking outside the box and not being afraid to try something new.
In my field, creativity is defined as finding innovative solutions that push boundaries and connect ideas in unexpected ways.
In my experience creativity isn't just about breaking the mold it's about solving problems with a fresh perspective.
I see creativity in my work as solving problems in unique and effective ways. Its not just about coming up with wild ideas, but about finding practical, yet innovative solutions that address the issues at hand. For me, creativity means blending originality with functionality.
Creativity in my field is about solving problems in unique ways, thinking outside the box, and continuously finding better methods.
Well, creativity is always seen as breaking or thinking outside the box. But the problem is, you cannot think of things that you never saw. You always imagine things that you at least have an idea of, for example, you never saw a flying horse but you saw a bird and horse and you've combined them.
So for me, it is solving problems in unique ways
