We use a combo of in-app onboarding tips, a getting started checklist, and personalized email flows to gradually onboard new users. The key is to not overwhelm them with too much at once, but guide them step-by-step to experience the core value. We also have contextual help indicators throughout the UI for just-in-time assistance.

Unfortunately, there’s no one solution to fit all scenarios. In our case, we ended up with implementing a comprehensive onboarding stepper and checklist, along with various help indicators across our dashboard pages.
