Getting to the first 100 users is one of the most important steps in building a successful product or service. When you have $0 you need to apply all the methods that are as cost-effective yet get you, high-quality users, as fast as possible. Here are 5 ways to get to that number without relying on SEO, audience building, or paid user acquisition. 1) Add value and build trust with users 2) Send weekly updates 3) Create niche content 4) Provide social proof 5) Ask for feedback What else would you add to the list? https://geeksandexperts.com/article/the-first-100-users

Posting on social channels in relevant groups can be really helpful like Reddit or Facebook groups - I find if you focus on driving engagement and value for readers, you’ll see better results.

@moeshegow For sure, Slack communities are also good to find niche groups that you want to connect with.

Posting on Reddit (see my strategy here: https://mentionfunnel.com/blog/h...) and Indie Hackers as you know 😛

@amosbastian Reddit is tricky but totally agree it's worth it. There are some great communities there (that also chucked me out hahah)

Reaching out 1:1 to potential users or those who fit your ICP. For the first 100 users (who stick around for a long time), doing the things that don't scale pays bigger and better dividends. For Pitchery, I reached out to 75 agency owners 1:1 for my first 10 beta users.

@swapdp_01 10000% I agree there is a lot to learn from those interactions as well.

I guess cold outreach!
Sneha Saigal
@olatz_urrutia 100% that is underrated! Thanks for adding that Olatz.

Cold outreach and paid ads
Sneha Saigal
@alexander_chernikov1 Agree, I tried both but cold outreach worked way better.
