I built it using purely Javascript to keep it stupid simple. Then I set up a landing page while I was building and ran ads to collect sign-ups. I built the MVP super simple. It has almost no features, but people were signing up, so I was on the right path. Every feature I asked myself: Is this need to have or nice to have for this MVP?

Focused on building as little as possible for customers to get value from it. I also started with a rails Saas template, which let me do a build in less than 30 days. There are templates for about every framework, or no-code tools to build an MVP quickly. Need to get it down to just what it needs to validate the idea though.

I have built a number of MVPs but I have never been able to do so in under 30 days like YC recommends. Focusing on hacking together solutions rather than writing perfect and clean code is a must. Shameless Plug: I am currently building https://ClickStack.io to make it much faster to build an MVP.
