How bad is to take over the top of the most important screen in your app?

During the last years I have been very critical of the fact that when you open your profile on Instagram, 90% of the screen is occupied by information that is NOT your photos. Sadly, I'm about to do the same thing in my app. How bad is it to implement something like what I show you here? Current: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11WxRqQY10u9nUnV1Oesq9E6IUXmwYPnY/view?usp=sharing New Proposal: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bgzde1BJe0wbsKmEMI9pDjgCd9RjbiSt/view?usp=sharing The new proposal adds Gamification information, so it feels like something very valuable, but I'm afraid I'm abusing the space used in the "head" of the screen. Context: The app is an app for photo-travelers. It helps you find the best photo spots around the world, and share yours findings. The flags added in the screen are "Visited Countries", which you'll unblock after publishing a good photo spot from that country. And the "Explorador Novato" means "Novice Explorer", which is a leven that increases after unlocking certain number of flags The product is https://www.producthunt.com/products/nofilter (which as you may guess, I'm working on a big V2.0) Thanks in advance!
