Hi PHers, should your target market be broad or focused at the early stage (premvp) of your product?

Focused - easier to pickup customers

I think it should be focused on the core audience! But it depends on your product. If it is created based on specific needs, then in the early stages of the product, of course, it should focus on the core audience. However, you should consider the expansion path of its users, otherwise, the product will rely on a specific group and become an obstacle to development.

Focused. It's always better to have 10 fans than 1,000 okay users.

Definitely focused kevin. Be precise at the start and when this thing works, expand yourself and your audience

always focus on a niche. It will be very difficult to offer a product that suits different types of customers.

@matthias_strafinger Agreed! You can't cater to everyone, so might as well find your core audience and get to know them very well.

We play poppy playtime much these days. There's a simple reason for this: our kids are older now.
