Helping vs Convincing for SaaS?

I've been struggling with this for my own company, Twigflo. I created the product to help individuals and teams design better projects before they spent time working on it using reverse planning. However, I've noticed myself trying to convince them this is a superior method of planning. I then took a step back and started to focus far more on the product and the ease of use rather than the rationale behind building it. How have you approached balancing convincing and helping?
