I’ve actually done one skydive, and let me tell you—it’s both terrifying and exhilarating. I used to think I’d never do it, but a friend convinced me during a trip to celebrate a big milestone. The freefall felt like a lifetime and an instant all at once, and the view was unreal. One thing I realized is how much trust you’re putting into the equipment. The tandem instructor gave me a quick rundown of all the gear, from the harness to the altimeter, and it helped calm my nerves a bit.
