Have you ever been to a hospital speaking a language which is not your first language?

To be honest, English is my second language. When I have a conversation related to my professional things, there's nothing that goes wrong. However, I'm guessing it should be very tough to explain my symptoms in English. For this reason, I've never been to hospitals in the U.S. I wonder if you have something similar experiences. How did you overcome it?
