Hate Marketing? No Problem - Just Build: How to Drive Traffic by Building Free Tools

"If you build it, they will come." That's a myth … well, kind of.
First, I'm not here to sugarcoat it: none of us can truly escape the need to engage in some form of traditional marketing, even if we hate every minute of it.
But personally, with the rise of AI shaking things up and not being an SEO expert, spending hours writing blog posts started to seem like a colossal waste of time.
So, what if I played to my strengths instead of struggling to improve at stuff I just flat-out hate or suck at?
That's exactly what I did.
I'm not a coding prodigy, but I'm definitely better at it than SEO and marketing… That's why I took action and created 16 free social media tools for my SaaS, https://www.aiCarousels.com/ - the first social media carousel generator powered by AI.
And it paid off. Big time!
I recently reached 10k clicks from Google Search in the last 28 days, and 50% of my organic traffic comes directly from these tools.
Here's the link to the full list:

Some of these were built in less than a day!
Frustratingly, a few I spent weeks on don't bring in much traffic. So, forget the notion that more effort and complexity = more traffic.
Now, don't just make anything without thinking. Build tools that not only bring traffic but also fit well with what you sell with your main product.
They don't need to be exactly about what you sell, it is enough if they are useful for your audience and make your main product a natural extension of the free solutions you are providing.
Also, remember to include banner links or CTAs for your paid product. Just make sure not to overdo it, keep it natural and helpful!
To sum it all up, traditional marketing is still a bit of a must, but there's a little loophole.
Like the new saying goes: "If you build free tools, they might come."
Do you see yourself implementing this strategy for your product? 🤔
