We are working with them for our launch and have launched products with them in the past. If you are launching your product for the very first time that is to test your MVP and have less than 100 users, they will launch you at the market place where all marketing has to be done by you, organically. The rev share they take for this is 60% atleast. However, if you are a somewhat established product and have some users and good runway (not sure what their definition for this is) you will be launched under their Select campaign where they spend a lot of marketing for you, will help you with video assets on landing page etc. The margins here are also very thin.

I haven't sold on AppSumo and I don't intend to, but this video says AppSumo can make sense for some: https://youtu.be/QwQyw5R9ds0?si=... I think people go there to find products that are sold below value. I don't think you can build a viable business if you are selling only on AppSumo, but AppSumo can nevertheless make sense for targeting low-income buyers. UPDATE: Besides AppSumo, you can try selling directly to sports clubs if your software has team features. AFAIK your software doesn't have network effects (i.e. features that will cause your software to spread organically to new users/clubs), but if you can think of any that's always a big help. You probably have many competitors in your software category. Best of luck.

I've never used AppSumo myself, but I've heard mixed things. Some say it can get you a lot of new users fast, but you have to offer such steep discounts that it's hard to make much revenue. And a lot of those users churn since they're discount hunters. Probably works best if you have a freemium model and can upsell them later. Curious to hear firsthand experiences too!
