Recently I met few folks where when I explained my product, the first question they asked was "Are you sure that this isn't a hobby instead of a business idea"? Have you ever faced this ? Not sure how to take up this.

Hi Ayush, this should be a wake up call for you. Obviously the pain point you are trying to resolve is not as painful for your customer. Two things that you can do. First, revise your ideal customer profile. The people might not be in your target audience then you shouldn't expect them to understand your solution. If they are in your ICP, then go for a little bit nicher market to be in a position to easily avoid this. Second, understand whether or not this ICP is profitable for you. Is this something that they would consider paying? With the current conversion and acquisition rates, would this be a scalable and profitable business. Pivot when you can.

@tunc_emran Thanks for the advice Yavuz. There are some product where they solved the problem for which nobody was asking for a solution but once they have it, it was no turning back. Slack is one of them. But yeah there are always two sides.
