How do you allow users to try out your product before committing? Free trial? And if so, what is your take on asking for credit card details before the trial starts? I can see valid points in both approaches (asking and not asking). - I also found a previous post with a poll :) https://www.producthunt.com/discussions/should-you-require-a-credit-card-for-a-free-trial What is your approach? P.S At Apyhub we have opted for the option to not ask for credit card details before starting the trial. P.S We are still running for the dev tool of the week so you are welcome to support here: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/apyhub-fusion P.S 2 - Would be super happy to hear the feedback from you/your engineering team around the product after you have had the chance to play with it - now that you know we dont ask for credit card info:)

Free trials that ask for a credit card are the worst!

We've found that not asking for credit card details before the trial starts tends to increase sign-ups. Users feel more at ease trying the product without committing financially. It's been working well for us. Anyone else seeing the same?

Credit card on a free trial - the ultimate dilemma of software exploration! At Apyhub, we believe in a credit card-free trial to keep things simple and stress-free. Who needs the added drama of cancellation hoops anyway?
