Do you go all out and build a great MVP for a good base to work with?

I prefer building simple and functional MVPs accompany it with a good marketing effort first, then things will work out later through user feedback.

second one is practical and affordable I believe. Not that I'm against "great MVP". It might take time and may cost more.
