Former private equity (got fired) now a startup founder and happier than ever (anyone else?)

Hey everyone! My name is Joe and my story may be similar to some of you. Excited to be part of the community and hear y'all's stories. I went to college with no idea of what I wanted to do other than wanting to make my mom proud :) That led me to study finance and seek a job in private equity for all the silly reasons I'm sure you can imagine. Well, as the title suggests, private equity wasn't exactly my thing and I started working with my roommate on a consumer tech startup called "Twos." We expect to launch Twos on here in about a week (internal screaming) but in the meantime, I'd love to meet with some of you, hear your stories, and if anyone else got *cough* laid off *cough* into their startup journey.
