For bigger marketing campaigns, how do you make sure creative is right and will be working?

Basically to make sure that creative materials (spots, videos, banner, etc.) is right and media money will not be spent worthless.

@simplytedel - thinking about that too. What do you think is the appropriate size of the budget to make sure you test it properly and can reply on results - as I can really decide that I go with this creative variant?
Test the waters with a short term goal and a minimal budget. Try A/B Testing your creative materials. Iterate, refine and repeat.
@adith_168 Adith the same question, please - how big budgets to test it to make sure results are reliable?
Also, thinking about how to do it for TV or billboard campaigns?
