First time front end coding! Seeking feedback for my weather monitoring SaaS.

Hi Everyone 👋 I've spent the last few weeks writing the front end for my new site https://wxtxt.co - I've never worked on front end code before so it's been a great learning experience playing with React! The idea. I want to take my daughter wild camping but need the right weather conditions to make it work. Rather than constantly checking the forecast I wanted a tool that would do that for me, and let me know when the right conditions are coming up. WxTxt will monitor the weather forecast for you for whatever locations you like and text you when good weather is coming up. You can set up weather conditions for particular temperatures, cloud cover, wind strength and direction - things like that. Please do visit the site (https://wxtxt.co/) and let me know what you think! In particular I'm interested in feedback on: * the proposition - is it something you think you might use? * ease of use - was it obvious what you needed to do? * price - do you think the pricing is right? ... but honestly, any feedback is much appreciated, especially if there are existing tools that do this already that I've somehow missed! I'll be building out the backend over the next few weeks. If you want a free account (and to be an alpha tester!) please feel free to sign up to a subscription (for free!!). Stripe is in test mode, so you can use the magic card number 4242 4242 4242 4242, and any future date and CCV code and it should work. As I deploy the backend services you'll start getting texts as the weather forecasts come in! I'll include a discount code when I launch on PH - but anyone who signs up and gives feedback will get an extra special one as a thank you! Thanks everyone - super excited to hear what you think. 🎉

Cool! I didn't sign up, but here are my insights: * The proposition - I think niche down your use cases for travelers like what happened to your daughter. * ease of use - was it obvious what you needed to do? Yes, but feels biased if coming from me, who always sees upcoming projects. * price - do you think the pricing is right? If I align it to the use cases of travelers, it might be fine for a month. 🤔 Not a traveler or in-depth research bout them, but logically speaking, those who need weather forecasts will stay for a short time. Those who will stay for a long-time will prepare for diff seasons. 🤔 I hope this helps and that you find more helpful insights!

@carmela_padasas Thanks again for the feedback - I've added another little section to the homepage which I *hope* might bring some clarity to the proposition... will see what others think (if anyone else looks at it!) "Know when to go We love micro adventures; even more when the weather is just right. Set up local alerts for your perfect weather and hit the trail, road, beach, or whatever you fancy."

@carmela_padasas Great feedback - thanks so much. My actual use case is for more local areas - for me the beach and mountains are both within a few hours (albeit in opposite directions) - so it was more a case of wanting to know what the weather was doing in places I could reach within a few hours drive so I could schedule in a trip at the last minute in the conditions were right. I hadn't really thought about it being for travellers as such - thanks for opening my eyes to that!

@matt_harbord ah I see, maybe another price tier for hikers and beach goers 🤔 *Research and testing grind
