Does listening to an audio book count as reading it?

I've had this discussion with some friends over the weekend and I was wondering what's the opinion on product hunters. If you listen to the audio version of a book, do you say that you've read it?

The important aspect is engaging with the material and gaining knowledge or enjoyment from the book, regardless of whether it was through reading the physical text, an e-book, or listening to an audiobook.

As far as I know, listening and watching use different parts of the brain. From this point of view, the two approaches differ.
It is a more convinient way of gaining knowledge!
