I think the most useful aspect of "building in public" is through sharing the development journey can help build a supportive community around your project. Engaging with this community can lead to valuable feedback, suggestions, and even potential early adopters.

Building in public can help you build a community of followers and supporters who are interested in your work. This can be a valuable source of feedback, inspiration, and even funding.

1. Faster Learning and Growth: By sharing your work early and often, you get real-time feedback from potential users and other developers. This can help you identify and fix problems quickly, and it can also give you new ideas for how to improve your project.

On the flip side, it does require a certain level of vulnerability and openness, as you're essentially inviting people to witness both your successes and failures. However, the benefits often outweigh the risks, as it can lead to stronger connections and a more authentic brand image.

Great question - starting soon, what would be the best platform to do so? Haven't really used Twitter in the past I would start from scratch there

Just starting out and will see the result later on! But I assume it’s better doing so to have early feedback from potential users and iterate fast, while building anticipation!

My own idea is, first, the product has to be eye-catching, and second, to get traffic on social media. The developers I follow, they show a positive and enthusiastic attitude in their social updates, and I think this helps a lot with the growth of followers. I also started from 0 to run my Twitter, although I only have 26 now. If you don’t mind, we can follow each other.

A different perspective is that it necessitates a degree of openness and vulnerability, as you are essentially allowing others to observe both your accomplishments and setbacks. Nevertheless, the advantages frequently surpass the risks, as it can result in stronger relationships and a more genuine brand image.

I’m starting my journey on building things (always worked in a 9 to 6 job) and have 0 followers on twitter (never had an account) 😅… but my plan is to share each step there, and see if I can get some feedback, alongside building up some followers … seems quite hard, though
