Hey Robin, as a design studio owner working with SaaS companies for long enough. I feel excited about the AI integration!

Integrating AI directly within Figma is something that we designers need for so long. Now we don't have to rely on shady plugins to do the repetitive tasks.

How it helps in our team and process:

1. Now AI can assist with rapid prototyping by suggesting design elements based on user behavior patterns or design trends. Prototyping is something that is most of time obvious but take so much time to do manually. But now it's automated. Yay!

2. One thing that I am sure about is SaaS startups demands speedy changes and speedy updates, this means, speedy design delivery and heavy workload on designers.

In my experience, this integration could mean faster iteration cycles and more data-driven design decisions. By leveraging AI, I can focus more on strategic design aspects (UX) than UI, ultimately helping startups grow more efficiently and effectively.

3. Additionally, the AI-powered data-filling feature can automatically populate design elements with relevant content, making the design process more efficient and realistic.

Now we can deliver better solutions to our client faster with less load our designers!

AI is great until it interferes with the creativity that only human brain can bring in. Same goes for Figma AI. Any manual and repetitive activities where you don't need to think much - good for AI use case.

Recently, Figma have launched new feature including Figma AI and Figma Slides. Particularly about Figma AI, there is a lot of criticize going around in Figma community. Few have also tried to use Figma AI tool to design few screens, what observations are made, Figma AI is completely trained on existing product designs. Creating almost similar pre-existing product design.

But, we can expect something more from it. Finger crossed, Hoping more from Figma.
