Do you schedule everything in your life in your calendar or just work-related events?

I'm definitely in the "must schedule everything in my calendar" camp but I'm curious if that's just me or my life stage!

I use Google tasks for everything. So if I set a date on a task, it will appear on Google Calendar too.

Nice @romiojoseph! This is definitely a welcome addition to GCal. We just released auto-scheduled tasks in Mayday so that when you have something important that needs to get done, it makes time for it on your calendar. "Time is finite, and our to-do lists are infinite." πŸ˜…

Actually, it's in between. I use Google Calendar for my work and my actual calendar for my personal activities :)

@eliza_crescini When you say your 'actual calendar', do you mean a physical calendar on your desk or in your home? It's funny, as dedicated as I am to my digital calendar (Mayday, of course) I also have a paper calendar on my fridge that is 100% necessary to run my household. ;)

I schedule it all! My wife and I have a shared calendar too which is especially helpful since we share a car

@kyrio Work related items are scheduled on G Calendar, for all personal Items I set reminders.
Kyra Aylsworth
@aditya_chavan3 Yeah, reminders are helpful – I plot out my work and personal items in my calendar but use Reminders sometimes too!

Everything! I tend to be a bit forgetful... so the calendar is a lifesaver :)
I schedule personal stuff too but not all but working on it so can schedule everything so I don't have to use my brain for those things and can use it for better things πŸ™‚

@mehul_fanawala It's amazing how much brain space scheduling tasks takes up! We've been working on how to take the slog out of this workflow with Mayday so now I'm getting used to auto-scheduling everything I have to do there.

Me too! I got a TO-DO list of all things I have to do. including making a to do list for the next day! πŸ‘€πŸ˜‡
Kyra Aylsworth
@mansi_trivedi1 Ah, a true planner – I can relate! I'm just getting used to bringing my to-do list and my calendar together using Mayday.

Work-related events only.

I tend to forget things, so I schedule pretty much everything on my calendar
Kyra Aylsworth
@henry_habib I can relate! I was thinking to myself this morning, the better question might be 'What DON'T I put in my calendar?' Laundry (because it's neverending), meals that aren't lunch ... that's about it. πŸ˜‚

I tried to do such scheduling at different stages of my life. It doesn't work for me. I like self-discipline, but not that much. But I totally understand people who live on a schedule, it's totally fine, if it works for them.

I like to schedule everything in my calendar. I use it mostly for personal tasks because I can see what's coming up for me to do and reschedule as needed

Hi Kyra. I'd agree that it's rather important to schedule everything around :). But it's also crucial to differentiate work and private life. As for me, I plan all my private stuff using Google Calendar. This is a versatile powerhouse that caters to a broad range of users. For business issues, I always use GanttPRO - the Gantt chart maker that serves as an advanced planner and daily task manager. With its help, I know that all my projects and tasks will be completed successfully. You can find out more about this tool here - https://ganttpro.com/daily-task-....

I have 2 apps on my phone. Google calendars for work schedule, keep track of meetings and tasks. Morning bird for personal timetable, remind me of important events. The first one is kinda common to most of you, but Morning bird's absolutely a brand new name, right? I found it accidentially on this site: https://www.producthunt.com/prod.... This calendar is easy to use with friedly user UI.
