Depends on what kind of work it is. If it requires deep, serious thought then music is distracting to me. And never anything with lyrics.

For me it's depending on what type of work I'm doing. If I need to put serious thought into what I am doing I will listen to calming music with no lyrics but I love listening to music that keeps me going!
I listen to the calm app or music with no words now. It lets me get in the zone and helps with creativity.
