What are some must-have's for pitch decks, and what are things that you don't recommend including?

It really depends on your target audience. If you're pitching to industry angels, angel groups, or VCs, you might use a different deck. Also, it depends where they're located. American VCs need short decks, European ones like more detail. The most standard deck recommendation for tech companies chasing American VCs is the template from Sequoia. You can probably google sequoia template and find it all over the place. Here's one I just found - https://bestpitchdeck.com/sequoia, but it might be a lead magnet so if they ask for your details just search until you find one. It's probably on sequoia's own site.

1) elevator statement of how the product or service will benefit the audience you are pitching 2) present possible objections. Go on the offense and squash those objections early 3) present the problem 4) present the solution 5) present case studies / accolades 6) ask for the business
