Do you create a unique content for each social media or do you only repost?

To save time – I repost But in this case, I create unique content because I want to attract (migrate) some users from one platform to another. What is your approach?

We also repost, unfortunately there aren't enough resources.

Our approach at Generated Photos strikes a balance—we make slight adjustments to adapt the same content for each social media platform. For example, a Twitter/X post can be transformed into engaging reels for Instagram, etc.

@imlindsay Who are the most "famous" users? Do you have any well-known name?

Every app wants unique content. Tiktok audience want short reels, Linkedln audience wants long article. That's why we have to create different content for every app

@german_arrowoods yes, but some can be repurposed: IG Reels – TikTok – YouTube shorts :)

Always fresh content. I have a Word document with over 300 pages of my tweets, yet I never repeat myself. Life is too short to keep repeating the same things for just another like.

@byalexai I do the same for PH discussions tbh :D

I "repurpose." So similar content, but just slightly adapted for the platform

Hi Nika, I think a mix of both is ideal. Only recycling content can feel repetitive, but reposting isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it helps when audiences differ across platforms. Plus, it allows us to make the most of the content we’ve already invested time in creating (e.g., turning YouTube videos into short-form content). Personally, I like to start with a topic and then adapt the message and format to suit each platform. On that note, I just finished reading your newsletter about Bluesky (loved it!). I noticed one of your tips to grow on the platform was to create dedicated content for it. I've seen some accounts sharing the same content on Bluesky and Threads. What do you think?

@morgane_prr But reposting saves a lot of time too. Everything depends on own preferences, time availability and much more :)

@morgane_prr Morgane, good you ask. I agree with "divided" or "lacking" audiences on both platforms. My opinion is that when you consciously want to attract people from one platform to another, you need to give a reason. That can be a unique content "something more". Thank you so much for reading that piece of article too :)

A little bit of both! At times, I aim for unique content, but if something’s a hit, I’m all for sharing it again. No point in reinventing the wheel.

I mainly create unique content for each platform. It's important to tailor things to the audience and format. Quick snippets on Twitter, longer thoughtful posts on LinkedIn, visual inspo on IG. Repurposing some core ideas across platforms works, but I try to give people a reason to follow me on each one by keeping things fresh and platform-specific. Takes more work but worth it IMO for building engaged audiences.

Different platforms requires different content and approaches, because usually you're targeting different audiences.

@terabitcoins I would rather say that audience on the platform is slightly customised but I do not have to rapidly change the audience of the product.

Tera Bitcoins
@busmark_w_nika Not changing the audience of the product but adapting the communication according to each platform' specific segments and usual tone.

@muhammad_haris_waheed I do it but for now, I want to attract people from one platform to another so I need to give them "Motivation" – unique content.
