"Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson I think luck is just the ability to exploit accidents. Some do it and others don't. For example, I know two people who were offered jobs at the same startup, but had to move to another country. Person A said yes (and got stocks) and person B said no. Long story short, the startup did well and person A made a lot of money. Now person A is called lucky and person B is called unlucky. But both had the same "accident" happen to them, one person just exploited it. That's why I think luck is just the ability to exploit accidents. Everyone has some accident happen to them (a job offer, a lucky meeting, a random post go viral), but some people are really good at exploiting those.

100%. It's part of the randomness of life. However! There's sooo much we can do to increase our surface area for luck to hit (pretty sure i'm biting that from Tim Ferriss).

I think luck plays a role in life, but hard work and preparation are just as important. Luck might open doors, but you still have to walk through them.

One's destiny is fixed; it's just that you perceive good events as the result of good luck.

Sometimes luck can make a world of difference, but I think persistence and hard work matter a lot more in the long run. You can't always control when luck strikes but you can control your effort and preparation to be ready to seize opportunities when they come. A little bit of luck helps but you have to make your own luck too, you know?

Yes, but Luck does not always make you successful. It can also destroy you 🤣

I definitely believe luck plays a role sometimes! A lucky break or being in the right place at the right time can totally change your trajectory. Hard work and preparation matter a lot too though - luck favors the prepared as they say. But yeah, an extra dose of good fortune never hurts!

Yeah luck can definitely play a huge role in life sometimes. Right place right time, meeting the right person, getting that lucky break, etc. But hard work and perseverance improve your chances of getting 'lucky' too. As they say, luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity :)
