DevHunt vs. ProductHunt: Any experiences with DevHunt?

Hey y'all, we're building a developer tool for passkeys and want to launch on PH soon. I recently stumbled across DevHunt, which seems like a better fit but is rather new and has a smaller audience. Does anybody have experience with DevHunt? I'd love to hear your stories and opinions on the platform!

Never heard of DevHunt before, but why not try it in addition to PH?

@lrueger great topic, Lukas! I’m part of the Developer Marketing Community, a group of 1,200+ tech founders and marketers working in dev-first startups, and launching on DevHunt is a growing topic. I recently enjoyed reading this interview of its founder, @johnrushx, by @zevireinitz, and above all, this quote really struck me: > Beyond the initial launch, winning on DevHunt means you stay on the home page for years. (...) Your tool is among the best tools in a short list visible all year long, every day to every visitor of DevHunt. my key takeaway would be: if you plan to launch your dev tool on DevHunt, make sure to hit the #1 spot for maximum impact. hope this helps!

DevHunt is good for Dev Tools. Search for posts/comments on Twitter. People say lots of good stuff. People got traffic, and users, some say they got a lot more than from their Product Hunt launch. And as @fmerian said: when you win on Dev Hunt, you stay on its home page for years. If you win on PH, you get just 3 days of traffic boost and then pretty much nothing. I'd launch on both. One doesnt exclude the other.
