When crafting a pitch deck, the balance between eye-catching design and compelling content can make or break your presentation. But which one truly holds the power to win over investors: sleek visuals or the story your slides tell? 👀

From what I've seen in raising capital on behalf of startups, content comes first. Design is a great support tool to convey information in a better way plus it can catch the attention of an investor early on so it does go hand in hand with each other. Ultimately the startup will primarily be judged on a number of investment criteria so if those are subpar but the design is great, the investors will still not be convinced. Conclusion: If a startup covers all investment criteria positively, the pitch can be greatly enhanced by nice design.

Ooh, the age-old debate: pretty slides or powerful words? 🤔 Honestly, I’d say design and content are like peanut butter and jelly—you can’t have one without the other if you want the full flavor! One catches the eye, and the other keeps 'em hooked. Mix it right, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a pitch that investors won’t forget!
