Curious to know the domain cost of x.com

Elon already had the domain x.com, years ago when he created PayPal he wanted to call PayPal x.com but the rest of the board and responsibles didn't agree to it and pushed him to sell his shares, so it's not sure what the domain costed back then as those were in the early stages of the Internet. Couple grand maybe, if even... today it would go for millions.
