  • Cold emailing for SaaS growth?

Hi everyone, hope to hear your thoughts on growing SaaS users with cold emailing. 1) Does it make sense overall to launch cold emails for advertising a SaaS product? A potential low-cost solution when ad performances are plummeting and costs skyrocketing. 2) Any product suggestions to prospect cold leads (in this case with email data of course) that include some kind of a sentiment analysis filter? There are many advanced, AI backed tools coming up nowadays; I want to target leads that recently shared posts about or looked up relevant terms. 3) Any product suggestions to improve the cold email campaign performance? For example I am thinking auto-generated highly customized emails -optionally- followed by sequences.

I think if you're just starting out with Saas, cold emailing is an unavoidable option - everyone has a first meeting. However, I think it should be a short, well-written letter that explains why we're emailing you and what makes our product better than others so that it doesn't feel like spam.

It is a must in SaaS! You can use tools like Waalaxy, Lusha, hunter for prospecting and email outreach as well.

@edworking hi David thank you for your response, however I truly need something more advanced for prospecting like I outlined above

Replies to [1] It is a must. Not just because it costs lower than paid marketing but working on the outbound campaigns helps you refine the pitch, positioning and messaging for your product. It is hard getting a prospect respond to a cold outreach unless above 3 are in order, that pushes the founder hard [2] Zoominfo [3] Follow the simple structure when writing a cold email [no AI can help here] - The problem / pain for the prospect - The damage to the prospect if the pain exists - Your solution

@shailendra_singh_ht thank you very much! I will definitely get into this ASAP, and haven't tried Zoominfo so far, excited to check it out.

In a similar boat and currently testing out cold email as a channel BUT given that our product is currently in public beta & low friction PLG product, it almost didn't really make sense

@weiruye before advanced features that your team has probably been planning for a while, I think once you have a smoooooth UX you're ready to onboard a good amount of users. Regarding the low friction PLG nature of the product, I mean if you have an email extension to waste for the campaign, would it hurt shoot away a few thousand emails?
