Can Threads become a channel for initial traction like Twitter ?

Instagram audience gets signed up with one click on Threads and can cross post. Which means most content on Threads will be re-purposed Instagram. In that case, is it useful for indie hackers to build an audience on the platform ?

Mastodon is safer and better. We should all be ignoring Threads altogether.

@simplytedel How much traffic have you been able to drive for mastodon ? Shall I consider it an effective channel.
