Can ProductHunt help increase my product’s international users base?

Question

I have a SaaS product that I launched in my country, and I’ve gained some paying customers, mostly through recommendations and direct outreach. Given that users seem to like it and the product is performing well, I’m considering building the brand and expanding it internationally. 
I’ve been advised that PH could be a good platform for this. Do you think that PH would be effective for reaching a global audience?
What would you recommend for getting started with this process?
