Building up to a launch. Should a founder be worried if he/she doesn't have a lot of followers?

No, you should not.
I had 0 followers when I launched my product and it gained 4th place of the day)
But you need support anyway, for example you can buy ads.

Hey there! I wouldn't worry too much about not having a lot of followers before launching on Product Hunt. There are many other factors that contribute to a successful launch, such as the quality of your product, the way you market it, and the timing of your launch.
I think that to have some followers is important. Sometimes I see that products have around 500+ followers. But it's not the key
