Do you take permission from brand or users before you post their logo on your website? I was wondering - 1. do you have to take explicit permission in writing even the users have signed up using a domain email 2. Is there certain level of activity you benchmark if putting the logo on the website - say users should be paid etc.

It is always a good practice to obtain explicit permission from brands or users before posting their logos on your website. This not only shows respect for their intellectual property but also helps to avoid any legal issues that may arise. Even if users have signed up using a domain email, it is still recommended to seek their permission before using their logo. As for benchmarking activity levels, it depends on the specific agreement between the brand and the website owner. Some brands may require a certain level of activity or payment before allowing their logo to be used, while others may not have any specific requirements. It is always best to clarify these details beforehand to avoid any misunderstandings.
