Balancing individual tasks with working together is important. Doing things on your own helps you learn and solve specific problems. But when you work with others, you get different ideas and can solve bigger problems.
It's like having a toolbox. Sometimes you use one tool by yourself to fix something small. Other times, you need many tools and help from friends to build something big.
In the world today, things are often complicated and need both ways of working. So, it's good to have a mix of doing things on your own and working with others. This makes things better and helps us learn from each other.
Tried a lot of different approaches, but never found that magic bullet!
Imo depends too much on the situation to have a one-size-fits-all solution.
Maybe the most general approach would be to allow employees to be trusted and feel empowered to self-organise. Then it's just a matter of keeping the team aligned with the right goals and resolving any problems as and when they arise.
