@mkotsollaris What truly helped us was running user interviews. By consistently engaging with users and listening to their unique challenges, we identified common themes and needs that Planyway was effectively addressing within Trello and Jira. These interviews provided direct insights, helping us fine-tune our features to solve real problems. The positive feedback, increased engagement, and higher adoption rates following these adjustments were clear indicators that we’d reached PMF. Of course, we use Amplitude a lot to analyze user behavior, onboarding questions, but nothing is as effective as real talk with users. What about you?

How do you handle with really annoying users? Like: Have you refunded someone just because you didn't want to handle with really bad customer?

@koshevoysergey TBH, not directly me but other people in the team decided to refund customers who were rude on customer support (they were "overexcessive" in behaviour). So instead to have this painful clients who were disrespectful, the way of handling them out was to refund them and withdraw from the contract. But I understand that you are maybe in b2b and these organisations are more sophisticated than we experienced in b2c :D

@busmark_w_nika That's a great question, Nika! I don’t think we have 'bad' customers—everyone is unique, and we embrace that. We do encounter cases where people request refunds, and sometimes the reasons may not seem entirely justified. However, we always prioritize a smooth experience, so we provide the refund in any case to avoid any conflict. My goal is to leave a positive impression, even if someone chooses to move on. What about you?

How did you get your first customer? How much did you spend to do so?

@johnberg Being an extension for other products has its pros and cons, but one major advantage is the exposure we gain from marketplaces like Jira, Trello, and GitHub. These platforms make it easy for people to find us, and as a result, we landed our first customer almost immediately after launching the paid plan.

@lady_daaina Thank you! My favorite feature in Planyway is probably the timeline view. I love how flexible it is without being cluttered, which is often a challenge in other apps. With our timeline, you can see everything at a glance—from tasks and deadlines to team availability. We worked hard to make it visually clear and intuitive so that planning feels seamless and natural.
