  • As a founder, how many hats have you really worn in your startup?🎩

I’ve been the Product Engineer building, the QA Engineer breaking, and the Product Manager juggling way too many things. I’ve switched to Product Marketer to hype it all up, dabbled as a Graphic Designer and Video Editor, and yes cleaned the office because, well, someone has to! I’ve recruited, handled HR, written content, and even played the role of Customer Support Rep apologizing for my own mistakes. Your turn, how many hats have you worn in your startup journey, and which one do you wear the most?

I have held roles as a product manager, operations engineer, operations manager, and sales manager, essentially rotating through nearly every position in the internet industry except for development

Most hats, except for the voice-voice in the promo video and the mobile development. Hopefully, I'll meet another crazy person to join in the fun soon. 🧑🏽‍💻

I'm not a CEO yet, but I often work with CEOs of tech startups and see them really do everything. From the creation of the product itself to sales and marketing. There is an interesting video on this topic, it may be useful for you and other CEOs who will come in the comments) https://youtu.be/yO1jShGjXc0

I started this journey because I wanted to build my dream projects. As such I've worn every single hat and maybe a couple of pairs of shoes as well. From Product Manager to Software Engineer to MARKETER, Video Editor, Graphics Designer and UI / UX Designer.

Haha so true, I feel like I'm constantly juggling hats! 🤹♂ Definitely spend the most time with the coder hat on, building the product. Marketing hat gets a good amount of wear too. But so many other hats tend to collect dust - fundraising, HR, legal, accounting... the list goes on. Need to figure out how to clone myself so each hat gets the attention it deserves! 🎩👯♂

All the hats... Founder, Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Service, Accountant, Janitor... At a bootstrapped startup you do everything to keep things moving forward. As you grow you gradually shed hats and specialize more. But at the start, it's all hands on deck and everyone wears a lot of hats out of necessity.

I've been working as software engineer, so I've just worn one tech hat. but I have a lot of hats to wear in front of me when I've decided to be founder.

I can relate to this post a lot, I am the CEO but also the sales and marketing manager, product owner, graphic designer, video creator, HR specialist... It is rather challenging having your own business but I wouldn't change it for the world! This is my second business as well, so it only gets busier :)

At InterWiz, I’ve been the Software Developer coding late nights, the Data Analyst crunching numbers, and the Customer Success Rep delighting users. Most often, though, I find myself wearing the Product Manager hat, ensuring our AI-driven interviewing platform continues to innovate and excel. It's been a multifaceted journey, but incredibly rewarding!

I am lucky enough to have a partner that shares hats with me! He takes the development hat and I take the marketing, customer support, and writing hats. We share the Design hat!
