I am building something around video conferencing. I would love to know your experiences with video conferencing tools and what they are missing at the moment.

Since I use my Google Calendar on a regular basis, Google Meet just makes more sense for me.

@karen_swyszcz1 what is your ideal way of having a meeting and is it getting fulfilled by google meet?
@prasad_lingawar3 - Yes, it's getting fulfilled by Google Meet. So I guess to answer your 1st question, everything that Google Meet provides for a meeting is ideal.
Google Meet for sure. It's compatible with Calendly and Google Appointments. Super convenient when I need to schedule a meeting!
@prasad_lingawar3 Umm, tbh, I think it's all good. Google Calendar works pretty well for me - is there any part you think can be made better?
@prasad_lingawar3 Oh are you launching a new product with that idea? It sounds really interesting
@kitamashi Oh do you use Discord a lot for a meeting?
@kitamashi @jerry_sp yeah same question plus what if the other person doesn't have a discord installed.
@jerry_sp in my last job I convinced some people to use it to communicate to each other, I even made a server for the company. But it is very hard to convince people who don't already know and use discord to migrate to it. I sadly never used Discord for a company meeting, but I do use it to talk to my friends. It has many features that makes even Google Meet look like an amateur tool to be honest.
@jerry_sp @prasad_lingawar3 I found it to be very hard to convince someone who never used Discord to migrate to it, but very easy to work with people who already knows it. It is a tool way better than any other I know for online meetings. The download, install and account creation processes are very easy so I really don't see why anyone would reject using it. The only "downside" is that, unlike Google Meet, you can't just send a link to a meeting to anyone and have them easily access the room with no login or friction (assuming the person does not have Discord), so maybe for audiences who are not familiar with technology Google Meet is probably the solution. For all other cases. I'd adopt Discord. If I had a big company I'd use Discord for endo-communication.
