Are you using any expense splitting apps with family/friends? What's your most common usecase?

I'm based in Spain and when my friends and I have parties or go on weekends away, we usually use Tricount. There's one person designated the "finance master" 🤣, and she/he has to log everything in Tricount. The app then tells you who owes who what, and we usually use Bizum (which is like Venmo in Spain) to settle debts.

@kate_santoro1 awesome, hadn't heard about tricount before, thanks for sharing! Does that require everyone to download the app in order to input their costs and see what they owe? I've been that "finance master" too many times so I'm building my own tool to make it easier for everyone to add and see expenses 😂 You can find and try it out at splittta.app, I'd love to hear any feedback you might have 🙏

I use it if I'm traveling with a group of friends. I think las time we used Splitwise and it was great.

@olatz_urrutia nice, that's a common usecase for me as well! My biggest gripe with Splitwise is that everyone needs to create an account and download the app, if they haven't changed that recently? I'm currently building www.splittta.app as a pet project to make it super easy to split expenses between friends on trips and similar, no account or app download needed. Feel free to check it out and I'd love to hear any feedback you might have 😊

@jason_andries1 nice, that seems to be among the most popular! Did you have any issues with it or things that you wish worked differently? I'm playing around with my own solution to the expense splitting and trying to find new better ways of doing things 🤓
