Are product waiting lists worth it?

As here on Corebook° we are building a product for design and branding teams with the #brand2025 mission, I’m always looking forward to new tools myself and seeing how things that have been almost accepted as “default” can be done differently and brilliantly. But the biggest and most annoying thing I have stumbled upon is what seems dead silent waiting lists. No email of inclusion in the list, no email reminding about the product – nothing. Let me put this as clear as possible – this does not create scarcity or make your product/brand exclusive. It just created the feeling that you don’t care about your users.
