Any luck with App and Play Store campaigns to get downloads?

I am currently planning on running a paid campaign with Google and/or Apple to get users pre-register and install my app. Has anyone had an experience with either or both to share ahead of launching their app? Google offers a $400 credit if you run a pre-registration campaign for $400 which sounds appealing for startups.

Good to know, I used a sweepstakes contest cms for a giveaway.. Had it auto register users as well with hooks to our api. The contest system gave extra entries for things like social follow, likes, reposts, and I was able to put in some custom polling and change polling questions when saw seeing a pattern to explore.

@eren_socialclub we don't have a mobile app as of now not needed works mobile browser... so getting signups, and social followers. It worked mostly out on X as Facebook you can't really force or track the interactions they can go to the repost/like functions but you can't make them drink to count.
