Any best practices for user entry following product-led growth?

Currently, we ship our product from sales-led to product-led with new use cases and additional features. And we're thinking about doing the new entry flow between two options:
1. You need to signup first with no password option (then when you log in again you should use the code from your Gmail) then use the product
2. You can jump directly to use the product when providing email. Then if you want to save your content or download or share it, you'll need to sign up.
Which one you guys prefer? Please let me know and also any case that we can learn from it. Much appreciated your comments!

I would prefer 2 intially, as it would give me more initial users trying out the product.
Would value those data points & feedback.
After sometime, probably would transition to option 1

@clement862 yes, it's also our idea when planning to start with option 2. Could be interested to see how many users find value in our product initially then signing up to use more function.
As a user, I would definitely prefer option two as it requires the least effort on my behalf to determine whether its something I want to keep using and then once I've discovered the product's value, I can set my own password or use SSO etc to setup my account.
From a PM side, option 2 also provides the benefit that only once an individual has discovered value do they become a user, which means you don't have a bunch of tyre kickers pulling down your activity and retention stats.
@huy_doan_quang I would test adding them and seeing how the users behave if you have the resources to do it. Hopefully the fact they're already invested in the product enough to register, the majority will give you truthful answers.

@stevenbirchall Hi Steven, totally agree with you on that point. I do think that it could be a pre-qualification for us to discover insights from new users also. With option 2, would you also put some questions to identify user's profile when they sign up? I think about it too but am afraid that the majority of register users may put the random answers
