Hey Product Hunt folks! 👋 I’m on a journey to kickstart BrandEvr, focused on sprucing up LinkedIn profiles. Before we launch next month, I’m here to chat about all things LinkedIn personal branding. Got questions on making your profile shine or connecting with the right crowd? Ask away! Oh, and here’s a little something: I’m looking for 3 people to try out BrandEvr services for free for the first 30 days before we launch. In exchange, I’d love to hear your honest feedback and maybe a testimonial. It's all about learning and making the service better. Can’t wait to dive into your questions and share a thing or two about LinkedIn branding! 💬

What is your #1 tip for Founders looking to market their companies/products through LinkedIn?

@brianhurst give all your trade secret methods for free and sell the implementation. Most humans are lazy, so they won't implement them. Some will and when it works you start to build authority

Have a quick checklist for "what needs updating?" Including the frequency of updates? Are there any guidelines regarding what constitutes an "accomplishment" (or not) on my profile? As an extraordinarily busy parent juggling frequent public speaking commitments, my own business consulting, and clients, I've been neglecting the maintenance and updates on my profile. Despite my knowledge that it would produce leads. An example? My profile picture has not been changed for over five years. I haven't listed *ANY* of newer client relationships in the last several years. Despite this, my profile attracts decent traffic as it's my preferred platform for professional networking. Any suggestions or guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Bonus: if feedback is wanted, I hold professional expertise in offering detailed notes, from the onboarding process to the desired functionalities of your tools and possible implementation strategies. Awaiting your reply.

@filmgeek Are you posting any content, or your profile is idle? For example, if you are getting "X" amounts of traffic from your profile, there will be "Y" amount of people who are not visiting because they are confused about many things like: Could you let me know if you're still providing your service? Why should I trust him? He doesn't have that many case studies/testimonials Is he updated with these things, etc.? So updating your profile will help you to attract a higher percentage of this "Y" amount of people. If you are really busy, simply update your cover image with what benefit you provide to your audience, and add some client logos there Then if you have time, add links to your resources, which can be your flyer, website etc. Then change your about section
