AI generated images are art. Agree or disagree and why?

Art is a form of expression of emotions, feelings and much more. Then next question we need to ask: can AI express or feel emotions as humans do? When an artist creates, they instill their emotions into their work, which we interpret when viewing it. When you go to a museum to see art, we try to decipher what was the artist thinking when they created it, what emotions were they going through. We cannot do the same for AI generated images simply because it's not generated by a human. For one, I wouldn't be impressed to see an AI generated art piece in a museum, I'd give it a 2 second look, and move on. That said, AI generated images are indeed impressive and have many use cases outside art field, so I'd just call them what they are - AI generated images.

I think it is art but if I think about craftmanship AI is the easier path to take as an artist. However, I think it is still not possible for me to create what I imagine in my mind with AI. It is the imagination of AI, not mine :)

Agree. I personally think they are still art. The prompts are still created by humans that produces an "image" from a thought

Since I don't think all art starts at zero, I agree that AI's creation technology is also about learning and recreating other artworks.
